Investigation – Trainee IPS Officer Sought After Harassment Complaint at Police Academy
Investigation –The Attapur Police have intensified their investigation after registering a case against a trainee IPS officer of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), following serious allegations of harassment, assault, criminal intimidation, and blackmail made by a fellow trainee officer.

Complaint Leads to Criminal Case
A trainee IPS officer attached to the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Shivarampally has come under police investigation after a woman trainee officer filed a complaint accusing him of repeated harassment and violent misconduct. Based on her statement, the Attapur Police registered a criminal case and launched an inquiry. Officials said efforts are underway to trace the accused as the investigation progresses.
The complainant, a 30-year-old trainee officer from the same academy, alleged that she had been subjected to continuous harassment over several weeks. Police have not disclosed further details about the accused or the ongoing search.
Allegations of Persistent Harassment
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the woman alleged that the accused began harassing her on June 23 through WhatsApp by sending sexually abusive messages. She also claimed that he made offensive and humiliating remarks about her in front of other trainees, causing emotional distress and embarrassment.
The complaint further stated that the accused repeatedly accused her of being involved in a relationship with another trainee officer without any basis. She alleged that he pressured her on multiple occasions to admit to the accusation despite her denial.
Claims of Threats and Intimidation
The FIR also mentions allegations of verbal abuse, intimidation, and blackmail. The complainant stated that the accused allegedly used threatening behaviour to force her into revealing personal conversations stored on her mobile phone.
According to the complaint, on July 8, the accused allegedly took possession of her mobile phone and carried it to his room before compelling her to disclose the device’s password.
Serious Assault Allegations Detailed in FIR
The complaint describes another incident that allegedly occurred on the night of July 9. The woman claimed that she was prevented from leaving after being forcibly taken to the accused’s room. She alleged that he grabbed her by the hair, attempted to choke her, and held a knife to her neck during the confrontation.
The FIR also states that the accused allegedly threw three packets of condoms at her during the incident. These allegations are now part of the ongoing police investigation.
Alleged Blackmail and Reputation Damage
The complainant further alleged that another incident took place on July 10, during which she was again physically assaulted. According to the FIR, she accused the trainee officer of inappropriately touching her, attempting to sexually assault her, and secretly recording a private video without her knowledge or consent.
She also alleged that the video was later sent to her husband in an attempt to blackmail her. In addition, the complaint accuses the officer of spreading false and defamatory claims with the intention of damaging her personal and professional reputation.
Police Continue Investigation
Following the complaint, the Attapur Police registered a case under relevant legal provisions and initiated an investigation into the allegations. Officials have confirmed that the accused is being searched for, while investigators continue to gather evidence and record statements connected to the case.
Police have not released additional information at this stage, stating that the investigation remains active and further updates will be shared as the inquiry progresses.
