Minister Targets Opposition Over Amaravati Remarks

Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy strongly criticized former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and leaders of the YSR Congress Party, accusing them of attempting to create divisions among people by raising issues related to caste and regional identity. Speaking about the opposition’s recent visit to Amaravati, the minister argued that the electorate had already expressed its opinion in the previous Assembly elections by reducing the party’s strength to just 11 seats.

Swamy claimed that the opposition was now trying to generate unnecessary political controversy instead of supporting the state’s development agenda. He maintained that the present government remained committed to ensuring steady progress in the capital region.

Allegations Over Previous Administration

The minister further alleged that during the previous five-year YSRCP administration, several farmers in the Amaravati region were subjected to legal cases and arrests, creating hardship for those associated with the capital city project. According to him, recent political activities were intended to slow down the momentum of Amaravati’s development.

Swamy said the NDA coalition government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, would continue to prioritize infrastructure development and fulfill its commitments to the people. He expressed confidence that work related to Amaravati would move forward without disruption.

Relief Fund Assistance Distributed in Kondapi

As part of public welfare initiatives, Swamy distributed Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques totaling Rs 72.09 lakh to 102 beneficiaries in the Kondapi Assembly constituency on Sunday. He stated that beneficiaries from the constituency have collectively received financial support amounting to Rs 15.87 crore through the relief fund so far.

The minister said the assistance reflects the government’s commitment to helping families facing financial and medical hardships through timely relief measures.

Hostel Infrastructure Reviewed

During his visit to Kondapi, Swamy also inspected the construction of a compound wall at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Government Social Welfare Girls’ Hostel. He instructed officials to speed up the remaining work while ensuring that students residing at the hostel receive all essential facilities and a safe environment.

The inspection formed part of the government’s broader effort to improve infrastructure in welfare institutions and strengthen public services for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Energy Minister Extends Medical Assistance

Meanwhile, Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar organized a separate welfare distribution program in Puttavaripalem village under the Addanki Assembly constituency. During the event, he handed over Chief Minister Relief Fund cheques to 103 beneficiaries.

In addition, Letters of Credit were distributed to 27 patients requiring urgent medical treatment, enabling them to access financial support for emergency healthcare. The minister emphasized that the government remains focused on providing prompt assistance to individuals facing critical medical needs while expanding welfare outreach across the state.
