Cinema –  Meenakshi Seshadri has fondly looked back on the making of the celebrated film Damini as the movie completed 33 years since its release. The actress shared an interesting behind-the-scenes story connected to the song Jabse Tumko Dekha Hai Sanam and remembered how late actor Rishi Kapoor helped make a demanding sequence easier during filming.

Actress Shares Challenging Shooting Experience

Taking to social media, Meenakshi recalled filming the opening sequence of the romantic song in the picturesque surroundings of Mysore. The actress revealed that the scene required her to sit on top of a moving car while maintaining balance and still appearing calm and graceful on camera.

According to her, the sequence was physically demanding and felt similar to performing a stunt. Despite the difficulty, the shot eventually turned out beautifully on screen and became one of the memorable moments from the film’s music album.

Meenakshi explained that staying steady during the moving shot required considerable focus and agility. At the same time, she had to maintain the soft and romantic expressions needed for the song sequence.

Rishi Kapoor’s Support Remembered

The veteran actress also praised Rishi Kapoor for his role during the filming process. She credited him for handling the driving smoothly and maintaining excellent coordination with the camera team throughout the sequence.

In her post, Meenakshi said that Rishi Kapoor’s calm approach behind the wheel helped her remain stable during the shoot. His professionalism and coordination reportedly made the technically challenging shot easier to execute.

She described the song as one of the sweetest compositions from Damini and said its appeal has remained timeless even decades after the film’s release. The lush greenery of Mysore added to the visual beauty of the song and contributed to its lasting popularity among audiences.
