Officials reported that the incident occurred around 1 am in the Moirang Tronglaobi locality. An explosive device was allegedly thrown at a house while the occupants were asleep. The sudden blast caused severe damage and chaos in the quiet residential area.
Two children—a five-year-old boy and a six-month-old infant girl—lost their lives in the explosion. Their mother sustained injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
