The Ambubachi Mahayog 2026 concluded with an extraordinary turnout at the Kamakhya Temple, where over eight lakh devotees assembled on the Nilachal Hills to participate in one of India’s most significant spiritual events. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma described the massive gathering as a remarkable reflection of the state’s rich spiritual legacy and the enduring traditions of Sanatan Dharma.
Sharing his message on social media, the Chief Minister extended his greetings with “Jai Maa Kamakhya” and stated that the temple complex had transformed into a grand centre of faith during the festival. He noted that pilgrims from different parts of India, along with visitors from overseas, joined the annual religious event in large numbers, underlining its expanding global recognition.

According to information shared by the Chief Minister, nearly eight lakh devotees visited the Nilachal Hills throughout the festival, making this year’s celebration one of the largest in the history of the annual observance.
