Ameesha Patel: discusses “Humraaz 2” and explains why it has a lot of promise

Ameesha Patel : recently discussed her movie “Humraaz 2” and expressed her optimism for the follow-up.

In an exclusive interview with IANS, the “Gadar” actress emphasized how viewers’ interest and enthusiasm had been sparked by the film’s high recall value. According to Ameesha, the success of “Humraaz” continues to benefit the sequel, providing “Humraaz 2” with a strong base and promising box office prospects.

“I think this film has been worked on more than me, more than Bobby, and more than Akshay, of course,” the actress said. Additionally, the sequel is already a huge hit, therefore it will succeed since the public is already enthralled and eager for it. However, I believe that the producers are more thrilled about it than we are. Because their movie is the best-selling in a different series, which is fantastic.

The main actors of “Humraaz,” which was directed by the Abbas–Mustan team, were Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna, and Ameesha Patel. Deol and the directing team collaborated on the romantic thriller for the third time. The 1998 American thriller A “Perfect Murder,” which was based on Frederick Knott’s 1952 stage play and Alfred Hitchcock’s Dial M for Murder (1954), served as a vague inspiration for the movie. Later, “Humraaz” was recreated as “Girivalam” in Tamil. Himesh Reshammiya’s soundtrack for the movie became one of the best-selling Bollywood albums of the year. On July 5, 2002, “Humraaz” was released.

Fans showed their enthusiasm for “Humraaz 2” back in July when Ameesha Patel brought back happy memories. She shared a vintage shot taken more than 20 years ago while promoting her 2002 movie. Her co-stars Akshaye Khanna and Bobby Deol were also included in the old photo. The post rekindled interest in a potential sequel and evoked nostalgia.
