“Profound sorrow”: Bangladesh’s government promises justice while denouncing the murder of a manufacturing worker in Mymensingh
Profound sorrow: Education Adviser C R Abrar visited the family of factory worker Dipu Chandra Das, who was brutally killed in Bangladesh’s Mymensingh district, a few days later, on behalf of the Interim Government, to offer assistance and condolences.

The Office of the Chief Adviser sent its sincere sympathies to the grieving family and expressed its great sadness over the tragedy.
Professor C R Abrar, an education adviser, visited the family in Mymensingh on Tuesday and had conversations with Rabilal Das, Dipu Chandra Das’s father, among others.
The advisor said during the visit that the murder was a horrible crime that had no place in Bangladeshi culture and no justification. Violence can never be justified by accusations, rumors, or differences of opinion, and no one has the authority to enforce the law on their own, he stated.
He reassured the family that all claimed offenses would be looked into and that justice would be served via due process, reiterating the Interim Government’s steadfast commitment to the rule of law.
Twelve people have been taken into custody by law authorities in relation to the crime, and investigations are still underway. The advisor said that such acts of violence will be handled with the full force of the law and that the Interim Government has ordered that the matter be pursued thoroughly and without exception.
He also urged on all communities, institutions, and leaders to reject violence and promote restraint and respect for the law, adding that the government is still dedicated to safeguarding the safety, dignity, and equal protection of all people, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, or origin.
Professor Abrar affirmed on behalf of the Office of the Chief Adviser that the family would get welfare and financial support and that officials would continue to communicate closely with them in the next time frame.
The advisor reaffirmed the Interim Government’s commitment to upholding justice and safeguarding all people.
