Trump: Hanwha will collaborate with the US Navy on new frigates
Trump: As he unveiled plans to create a new “Trump-class” of battleships, US President Donald Trump said that South Korea’s Hanwha would collaborate with the US Navy to develop new frigate vessels.
According to Yonhap news agency, the comments coincide with South Korea’s efforts to strengthen its shipbuilding partnership with the United States via its major shipbuilders, such as Hanwha Ocean Co.
“Last week, the Navy announced a brand new class of frigate and they’re going to be working with South Korean company Hanwha,” Trump said at a Mar-a-Lago news conference.
