Lagarpuria was found guilty of operating an organized criminal ring under MCOCA. He joined the criminal scene in 2009 after meeting mobster Dheerpal at an akhara in Najafgarh. He was a dropout from Delhi University’s Ram Lal Anand College, where he was enrolled in History Hons.

He was first detained in February 2012 in connection with a murder case filed in Chhawla, but the following year he was freed on bond.

His criminal footprint quickly grew as a result.

More than 16 charges have been filed against him in the surrounding regions of Haryana and southwest Delhi by 2015.

According to the Special Task Force of Haryana’s dossier, the Delhi Police used MCOCA against him that same year, recognizing the organized nature of his syndicate, which comprised shooters, extortion collectors, and logistics handlers operating in places like Chhawla, Najafgarh, Jaffarpur, Baba Haridas Nagar, and Dwarka.

Lagarpuria is facing almost two dozen criminal cases, 10 in Haryana and 17 in Delhi, according to Haryana STF Chief B Satheesh Balan. The allegations include murder, criminal conspiracy, extortion, robbery, cheating, criminal intimidation, disappearance of evidence, and weapons offenses.

Additionally, his name appears in instances connected to the Manoj Morkheri-Lagarpuria gang, where his buddy Dheerpal was key.

When Lagarpuria, 35, was arrested, he had a reward of Rs 2.5 lakh.

The amount recovered by detectives increased to Rs 5.78 crore, and the alleged trail was thought to be worth more than Rs 20 crore, despite the theft’s original estimated value of Rs 50 lakh.
