Rajya Sabha Election – The results of the Rajya Sabha elections in Jharkhand have reaffirmed the political balance in the state, with NDA-backed independent candidate Parimal Nathwani securing a seat in the Upper House and pledging to continue his development-focused initiatives.

The biennial election for two Rajya Sabha seats in Jharkhand concluded with victories for independent candidate Parimal Nathwani, who was supported by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) nominee Baidyanath Ram. Congress candidate Pranav Jha was unsuccessful in the closely watched contest.
Tight Contest Marks Rajya Sabha Polls
The election witnessed intense political activity as competing alliances worked to secure support from legislators. With three candidates vying for two seats, the contest drew significant attention across the state’s political landscape.

Nathwani Promises Continued Focus on Rural Growth

Nathwani described the victory as a significant milestone in his parliamentary career. In a message shared after the election result, he stated that his return to the Rajya Sabha marks his fourth term as a member of the Upper House.
He noted that Jharkhand holds special importance in his public life and referred to the state as his workplace and area of service. Nathwani said he was humbled by the trust placed in him and committed to representing the interests of the people with dedication and responsibility.

The newly elected Rajya Sabha member also thanked senior leaders of the NDA for their support during the election. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP leadership for backing his candidature.
