Investigation Continues as Details Remain Limited

Separate Firing Case Reported in Meerut

In a different development, police in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district recently took swift action following another firing-related case. Authorities reported that around ten individuals were taken into custody in connection with an alleged incident of aerial firing in the TP Nagar locality.

According to officials, the episode occurred on the night between April 11 and April 12. Local police received information that a group of young men had discharged multiple rounds into the air. Acting promptly, officers launched an operation and managed to apprehend the suspects within a few hours of the report.

Arrests Made and Weapons Seized

Circle Officer Saumya Asthana confirmed that approximately eight rounds had been fired during the incident. Police recovered firearms used in the act along with two vehicles believed to be linked to those involved. The quick response by law enforcement helped prevent any escalation and ensured that the accused were detained without delay.

A case has been registered against the individuals under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. Officials noted that strict legal action is being pursued, reflecting the seriousness with which such offenses are treated.

Authorities Emphasize Strict Enforcement

Police officials in both Delhi and Uttar Pradesh have reiterated their commitment to maintaining public safety and taking firm action against unlawful use of firearms. Incidents of firing, whether targeted or in the air, are considered serious offenses due to the risks they pose to public life and property.

As investigations continue in the Delhi case and legal proceedings advance in Meerut, authorities have urged citizens to report any suspicious activity promptly. They have also highlighted the importance of community cooperation in preventing such incidents and ensuring safer urban environments.
