Mona Lisa: ‘Zindagi Ka U-Turn’: This project felt like a turning point in my career
Mona Lisa: She has referred to the little micro-drama “a turning point” in her career as she embarks on a daring new chapter with “Zindagi Ka U-Turn.”

“I had been wanting to do a vertical series, so when the call came, I instantly knew I wanted to take it up,” Mona Lisa said, looking back on her experience with “Zindagi Ka U-Turn.” I believe this format is the next big thing, but I hadn’t looked into it previously. Everybody has a smartphone, and while waiting or traveling, people like viewing brief, interesting information.
“Short micro-dramas are fascinating because they immediately capture your attention,” she said. I like to see them personally as well!
Sonam Verma, an ambitious wife at the height of her profession who owns every place she enters, is the character Mona Lisa plays in the new Pocket TV series.
After his wife betrays him, the middle-aged street vendor’s life falls apart in the series. However, his destiny takes an unexpected turn when he unexpectedly inherits a billion-dollar enterprise.
She went on: “This project felt like a turning point in my career because the story itself was so compelling, in addition to the fact that I got to play a very different character.” People will get engrossed in Zindagi Ka U-Turn as soon as they begin viewing it, even if it is just for 30 or 60 seconds. There are many turns and twists in it.
“Everything just fell into place so positively that saying yes felt natural,” the actress remarked.
All in all, I had an incredible time. This felt like experimenting with a whole new genre after working on everything from movies to television series to reality programs. Since the first time always has a particular place in my heart, the five-day shoot was really unforgettable for me.
Mona Lisa discussed her persona and how it is unique, saying: “I’ve always attempted to play a variety of characters throughout my career. I then entered a whole new realm when I switched to television, even taking on a supernatural part.
However, this is the first time she has done it.
My heroine in this narrative has a turbulent relationship with her spouse and is conceited. I really thought, “Oh my God, I’m nothing like this in real life,” as I was portraying this persona. Being able to experience lives so different from your own is the joy of being an actor, however. I am appreciative that I was given this chance.
“My director and creative team provided me with excellent guidance, breaking down every aspect of the narrative. It’s often difficult to play someone who is so different from who you are, so they later told me they hadn’t expected me to do the part with such passion.
Indeed, this presented a challenge to me, and I’m happy that I was able to accept it. I’m always searching for fresh jobs, and Pocket TV has provided me with just that. I am quite delighted and excited.
When asked whether she had prepared for this role, Mona Lisa said that the primary goal was to highlight her haughtiness and power, particularly with regard to her husband.
“My director, Naveen ji, helped me grasp the tone at the script reading; he wanted it to be forceful and loud. I practiced adopting her mindset and developed her personality in my head.
“While I play this sophisticated, dominating woman,” she said, “her co-actor Ruslaan Mumtaz, who plays her husband Raghav, is shown as a very simple man.” My performance of the scenes was really aided by that contrast. My acting flowed effortlessly since the writing was so compelling and powerful.
