EducationNews – Uncertainty continues over whether noted educator Khan Sir, whose real name is Faisal Khan, will appear before a civil court in Patna on Saturday as police intensify their investigation into a recent violence-related case linked to his coaching institute. Reports indicate that he may surrender before the court while authorities continue efforts to question him regarding the incident.
Police Search Intensifies
The development comes after Patna Police launched a large-scale operation to locate Khan Sir following allegations connected to a firing episode that occurred during unrest outside his coaching centre earlier this week. Several police teams have reportedly been deployed across different locations, while security arrangements around the institute have also been strengthened.
Investigators have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Khan Sir under provisions associated with the Arms Act and attempted murder. According to the complaint, security personnel stationed at the coaching centre allegedly discharged firearms on his instructions. Police officials have stated that questioning him is an important part of the ongoing inquiry.
Rival Coaching Institutes Under Scrutiny
The case has also heightened tensions among students linked to competing coaching institutes in the city. Concerned about the possibility of further disturbances, law enforcement authorities have urged students and local residents to remain calm and avoid reacting to unverified claims circulating on social media and other platforms.
Officials have appealed for cooperation from all parties while the investigation proceeds, emphasizing the need to maintain public order.
How the Dispute Began
The controversy originated on Tuesday night when a group estimated to include 15 to 20 individuals allegedly entered the premises of Khan Global Studies, causing damage to property and throwing stones at the institute. Following preliminary investigations, police identified Roshan Anand, who operates another coaching institute known as Gyan Bindu, as the primary accused in the vandalism case.
Authorities subsequently arrested Anand and sent him to judicial custody. The arrest marked a significant development in the probe into the attack on the educational institution.
Khan Sir Named in FIR
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya Sharma confirmed that Khan Sir’s name has been included in the FIR connected to the vandalism incident. According to the senior officer, police will question him as part of the legal process because of his inclusion in the case records.
However, officials have not publicly disclosed all the legal provisions under which his name has been incorporated in the FIR.
Security Guards Arrested After Video Emerges
Earlier in the week, police detained two security guards associated with the coaching institute after allegations surfaced that they had fired weapons during the disturbance. A video widely shared online allegedly showed the guards discharging firearms into the air.
Following verification and investigation, both guards were arrested and later remanded to judicial custody. Authorities are examining the circumstances under which the firing took place and whether any legal violations occurred.
Reactions From Native Village
The incident has also drawn attention in Bhatpar Rani, the educator’s ancestral village. Some residents claimed that he had previously been involved in local disagreements concerning civic issues such as road maintenance and drainage infrastructure.
Villagers also recalled his rise from a modest background to becoming one of the country’s most recognized education personalities through classroom teaching and digital learning initiatives.
