VicePresident – CP Radhakrishnan Begins Multi-State Official Visit Across Southern India

VicePresident – Vice President CP Radhakrishnan commenced a three-day official tour on Friday with his arrival in Bengaluru, where he received a warm welcome from Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, State Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy and several senior government officials. The visit, scheduled from May 29 to May 31, includes engagements across Karnataka, Goa and Kerala, covering a range of cultural, educational and public events.

Key Programmes Scheduled in Karnataka

During his stay in Karnataka, the Vice President is set to attend two prominent events. According to information shared through his official social media account, he will participate in celebrations marking the 45th anniversary of the Art of Living organisation at its Bengaluru campus. He is also expected to join the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of University BDT College of Engineering in Davangere.

These programmes are considered significant gatherings that highlight both educational achievements and social contributions within the state.

Goa Visit to Include Statehood Day Celebrations

On Saturday, the Vice President will travel to Goa to take part in the state’s official Statehood Day celebrations in Panaji. The event commemorates Goa’s journey as a full-fledged state and is attended by government representatives, public officials and community leaders.

Later the same day, he is scheduled to visit the CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, where he will review activities related to marine and oceanographic research. The visit reflects the importance of scientific institutions contributing to India’s research and development efforts.

Temple Visit and Industrial Inauguration Planned

On May 31, CP Radhakrishnan will visit the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy Temple, one of Karnataka’s well-known religious and cultural centres. Following the temple visit, he will inaugurate the SIRI Industrial Park in Belthangady.

The industrial project is expected to support local economic development and encourage business activity in the region. The inauguration forms part of the Vice President’s broader engagement with initiatives linked to growth and infrastructure.

Kerala Events Mark Final Leg of Tour

The final phase of the Vice President’s journey will take him to Kerala. In Kottayam, he will inaugurate the 140th Foundation Anniversary celebrations of Deepika Malayalam Daily, one of the state’s longstanding newspapers.

Later, he is scheduled to travel to Kannur to attend a private programme organised by Rajya Sabha Member C. Sadanandan Master. The event is expected to bring together local leaders and invited guests.

Recent Meeting With Swati Maliwal

Before beginning this official tour, the Vice President met Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal in New Delhi on May 25. Following the meeting, Maliwal shared details on social media, describing the interaction as encouraging and insightful.

She stated that she had sought guidance from the Vice President and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to interact with him. According to her post, his experience and advice continue to inspire individuals serving in public life. Maliwal also thanked him for his time, support and blessings.

The Vice President’s three-day schedule highlights a combination of cultural, educational, scientific and developmental engagements, reflecting his participation in events of national as well as regional significance across southern India.
