Agritech – Rajasthan Government Intensifies Village Outreach Ahead of Major Rural Summit
Agritech – Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday highlighted the state government’s continued efforts to connect directly with rural communities through the ongoing Gram Vikas Yatra campaign. During his visit to Bambori village in Pratapgarh district, the Chief Minister said the outreach programme is aimed at identifying village-level concerns and preparing the groundwork for the upcoming Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) later this month.

Direct Interaction With Villagers
While interacting with residents in Bambori village, Sharma held discussions with elderly citizens, women, youth, and local farmers to better understand their daily challenges and expectations from government schemes. He said representatives associated with the campaign, including party workers and public representatives, are visiting villages across Rajasthan to gather first-hand feedback from rural communities.
According to the Chief Minister, these visits are helping the administration assess issues linked to agriculture, employment, livestock management, and social welfare. He stated that the government’s focus remains on strengthening the financial condition of farmers, labourers, and women by improving access to economic opportunities and self-employment initiatives.
Focus on Rural Economy and Agro Processing
Sharma also spoke about preparations for the upcoming GRAM programme, which is expected to concentrate on agricultural technology, dairy development, and rural infrastructure expansion. He said villagers have shown interest in setting up food processing facilities, dairy units, and milk collection centres at the local level.
The Chief Minister noted that promoting agro-processing within villages could significantly improve the income of farmers by ensuring better value for crops and agricultural produce. He stressed that local processing facilities for fruits, vegetables, pulses, grains, and oilseeds would reduce dependence on external markets and create employment opportunities within rural areas.
He further added that integrating these initiatives with the cooperative sector would help villages move towards economic self-reliance while also strengthening Rajasthan’s rural economy.
Morning Walk and Review of Welfare Schemes
The Chief Minister stayed overnight in Bambori village and spent Thursday morning meeting residents during a walk through the locality. He visited homes, interacted personally with villagers, and discussed issues related to healthcare, pensions, education, and government welfare schemes.
During the visit, Sharma met senior citizens and sought their blessings while also spending time with children in the village. He distributed chocolates among children, asked them about their studies, and reviewed a student’s notebook before signing it.
Officials accompanying the Chief Minister also reviewed the implementation of public welfare programmes at the ground level. Sharma interacted with women associated with the Rajivika self-help group initiative and discussed their role in strengthening household incomes and supporting local economic activities.
Development of Villages Key to Rajasthan’s Growth
Speaking about the broader vision of the state government, Sharma said Rajasthan’s long-term progress depends on the development of its villages. He maintained that strengthening rural infrastructure, improving agricultural support systems, and expanding self-employment opportunities would play an important role in achieving balanced growth across the state.
During his visit to Bambori, the Chief Minister also offered prayers at Laxminath Temple and Charbhuja Nath Temple. Residents welcomed the Chief Minister and participated in discussions related to local development priorities and future rural initiatives.
