Diplomacy – India is set to host an important diplomatic engagement as Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets South Korean President Lee Jae Myung in New Delhi on Monday. President Lee began his official engagements by paying homage at Raj Ghat, the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, before heading into formal talks with Prime Minister Modi. On the eve of the summit, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met President Lee and acknowledged his commitment to strengthening bilateral ties across multiple sectors. He expressed confidence that the visit would further solidify the existing partnership.
The Ministry of External Affairs has described the visit as a significant step forward in advancing the Special Strategic Partnership between India and South Korea. Officials noted that this is President Lee’s first visit to India since assuming office, adding further importance to the occasion.
