Discussions between the DMK and its alliance partners have intensified in recent days, with both sides aiming to reach a consensus quickly. The Left parties have been pushing for a modest increase in their share, seeking one additional seat each compared to the 2021 Assembly election.
However, sources within the DMK suggest that the party leadership is not keen on expanding the allocation. Instead, it is considering retaining the earlier formula, under which both CPI and CPM contested six seats each.
