AirIndiaFlights – Air India Schedules 78 Flights Connecting India and West Asia
AirIndiaFlights – Air India and Air India Express will collectively operate 78 flights between India and several destinations in West Asia on Saturday, March 14, according to an official announcement. The operations will include both regular scheduled services and a large number of special non-scheduled flights linking Indian cities with destinations in the Gulf region.

The airlines stated that the flights will primarily connect India with cities in Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates, helping maintain travel connectivity between the regions.
Scheduled services between India, Jeddah and Muscat
A portion of the flights will operate under the airlines’ regular schedules. The carriers confirmed that services to and from Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Muscat in Oman will continue as planned.
Air India will operate three round-trip flights to Jeddah. One of these flights will depart from Delhi, while two round-trip services will be operated from Mumbai. These services are expected to support passenger demand on one of the busiest travel corridors linking India with Saudi Arabia.
Air India Express will also contribute to the Jeddah route. The airline will run one round-trip service each from Kozhikode and Mangaluru, connecting passengers from southern India to the Saudi city.
Muscat operations continue as per schedule
Air India Express will continue its scheduled operations to Muscat as well. The airline plans to run eight regular flights connecting the Omani capital with multiple Indian cities.
These services include one round-trip flight each from Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode and Mumbai. The airline said these routes remain an important link for travellers between India and Oman, particularly for business, tourism and visiting family members.
Together, the scheduled flights between the two airlines will account for a total of 10 services operating on Saturday.
Additional flights to UAE and Saudi Arabia
Apart from the scheduled flights, the airlines will also operate a significant number of additional services to destinations in the Gulf region.
Air India and Air India Express together plan to run 62 non-scheduled flights connecting India with the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. These extra flights are intended to supplement existing connectivity and accommodate travel demand across the region.
The airlines clarified that these flights will be operated depending on slot availability and other operational conditions at the departure airports.
Regulatory approvals and operational conditions
According to the official statement, all additional services have received the necessary approvals from Indian authorities as well as aviation regulators in the destination countries.
The airlines noted that operational factors such as airport slot allocations and local conditions will determine the final execution of these non-scheduled services. Any adjustments, if required, will be made in coordination with airport and aviation authorities.
With both scheduled and additional flights combined, the airlines aim to maintain steady air travel links between India and key destinations in West Asia.
