Governance – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached a significant milestone in Indian politics, becoming the country’s longest-serving Prime Minister. Marking the occasion, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan extended his congratulations, describing Modi’s tenure as a period marked by dedicated public service and major national transformation.

Pawan Kalyan Highlights Twelve Years of Leadership

In a message shared on social media on Wednesday, Pawan Kalyan praised the Prime Minister’s leadership over the past twelve years, stating that India has witnessed notable progress across multiple sectors. He said the country today is more secure, economically stronger, and increasingly confident on the global stage compared to previous years.

According to Kalyan, the government under Narendra Modi has focused extensively on strengthening national security, enhancing defence capabilities, and positioning India as a leading force in the global economy. He also pointed to India’s successful hosting of the G20 Summit and its growing influence among developing nations as examples of the country’s expanding international stature.

Major Reforms and Infrastructure Expansion

The Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister noted that several flagship initiatives introduced during the Modi government have had a lasting impact on governance and public welfare. He cited programmes such as Digital India, the Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile framework, Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and Direct Benefit Transfer systems as key examples of technological and administrative reforms.

Kalyan also referred to welfare and infrastructure projects that have been implemented nationwide. These include Ayushman Bharat, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and the Jal Jeevan Mission. In addition, he highlighted investments in highways, railway networks, airports, ports, and the expansion of Vande Bharat train services as indicators of large-scale development efforts undertaken during the Prime Minister’s tenure.

Focus on Andhra Pradesh’s Growth Agenda

Expressing appreciation for the Centre’s support, Pawan Kalyan said Andhra Pradesh continues to benefit from cooperation with the Union Government. He stated that the state remains committed to achieving its long-term economic goals through the Swarna Andhra 2047 vision.

He added that Andhra Pradesh aims to contribute actively to the broader national objective of building a developed India by 2047. According to him, cooperation between the state and central governments will play an important role in achieving these ambitions.

Emphasis on Unity and Inclusive Development

Kalyan also stressed the importance of preserving national unity while embracing India’s cultural and linguistic diversity. He described the country’s many languages and traditions as valuable strengths and reiterated support for inclusive growth policies.

He stated that efforts toward development should benefit all sections of society and emphasized the need to resist forces that seek to create divisions within the country.

BJP Leaders Mark the Occasion

Separately, Andhra Pradesh BJP president PVN Madhav commemorated the milestone by offering special prayers at the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Simhachalam. The ceremony was held to recognize Prime Minister Modi completing approximately 4,400 days in office.

Madhav noted that Modi, who assumed office on May 26, 2014, has surpassed the previous record held by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in terms of continuous service. He credited the Prime Minister’s leadership with boosting public confidence and supporting India’s rise among the world’s largest economies.

Digital Payments and Economic Progress

Highlighting key achievements, Madhav said the introduction and expansion of the UPI digital payment ecosystem transformed financial transactions across the country. He also pointed to infrastructure-led growth as a central component of the government’s economic strategy.

According to him, sustained investments in connectivity and public infrastructure have contributed significantly to economic development and helped strengthen India’s position in the global economy.
