Infosys ai services framework launch

Global technology major Infosys on Wednesday announced a new AI-first value framework designed to help enterprises integrate artificial intelligence across operations at scale. The company said the initiative marks a significant step in reshaping IT services as demand for AI-driven solutions continues to grow worldwide.

According to a recent Nasscom and McKinsey analysis, AI-first services could unlock an additional market opportunity of between USD 300 billion and USD 400 billion by 2030. Infosys aims to strengthen its position in this expanding segment by combining new AI-led offerings with enhancements to its existing service portfolio.

Expanding AI Services Across Six Key Areas

The company outlined six strategic areas under its AI-first framework to address varied enterprise needs.

The first focuses on AI strategy and engineering. Infosys plans to support businesses in designing tailored AI architectures, deploying scalable platforms, and integrating multiple AI tools into a unified operating model. The goal is to help enterprises move beyond pilot projects and embed AI into core systems.

The second area centers on preparing enterprise data for AI readiness. By building advanced data platforms and applying specialized data engineering practices, organizations can convert structured and unstructured data into actionable insights. This approach is expected to strengthen predictive analytics and improve real-time decision-making.

A third pillar, described as process AI, involves redesigning business workflows by combining AI agents with human expertise. The company said this integration can drive efficiency gains while maintaining operational oversight across industries.

Legacy modernization forms the fourth component. Through the use of AI agents, enterprises can analyze existing technology systems, understand their architecture, and modernize them gradually. This method aims to reduce technical debt without causing operational disruption.

The fifth area, physical AI, extends intelligence beyond software systems. By embedding AI into devices and products, businesses can use sensor data and real-time analytics to improve product performance and operational outcomes. Technologies such as digital twins and autonomous systems are expected to play a growing role in this segment.

Finally, AI trust has been positioned as a foundational element. Infosys said enterprises require strong governance, risk management, and ethical oversight as AI adoption expands. The framework includes support for compliance, policy design, and security testing to ensure responsible AI deployment.

Collaboration and Client Engagement

Infosys stated that it is already working with approximately 90 percent of its top 200 clients on AI-related initiatives. More than 4,600 AI projects are currently underway, reflecting growing enterprise interest in generative AI and agent-based systems.

The company has also introduced over 30 new AI-focused service offerings aligned with the six strategic areas. These offerings are being delivered through its agentic services suite, which integrates proprietary platforms with open and third-party technologies.

Clients, according to the company, are increasingly seeking end-to-end AI transformation partners capable of linking strategy with implementation. The new framework is expected to help enterprises achieve outcomes related to revenue growth, cost management, and product innovation.

Leadership Perspective on the AI Shift

Nandan Nilekani, Co-founder and Chairman of Infosys, said IT service providers will play a crucial role in the AI era. While automation through AI agents can improve productivity, he noted that enterprises still require deep systems integration, governance structures, and large-scale transformation expertise.

Salil Parekh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, added that AI represents a powerful growth driver for the services industry. He said the framework positions Infosys to compete across multiple AI-driven value segments while supporting clients from strategic planning through execution.
