Thane: Over 1,000 wedding guests escape unharmed after a fire breaks out at the banquet venue
Thane: After a fire broke out at a banquet hall in Thane city, Maharashtra, more than 1,000 wedding guests managed to escape unharmed, authorities said on Friday.

According to them, the incident happened on Thursday at approximately 11 p.m. at the marriage hall location in the city’s Ovala neighborhood along Ghodbunder Road.
Mandap decorating materials stored outside a cabin on the grounds of ‘The Blue Roof Club’ caught fire, according to Yasin Tadvi, head of the Thane Municipal Corporation’s Disaster Management Cell. At the time, the location was hosting a wedding celebration.
According to the official, between 1,000 and 1,200 people were present at the location when the event occurred.
“As soon as the fire was noticed, guests were safely moved out of the venue, preventing any casualties,” according to him.
According to fire authorities, prompt evacuation and timely attention were crucial in “avoiding a major tragedy.”
Two fire engines, one rescue vehicle, and one utility vehicle were used in the firefighting effort.
According to an authority, the fire was put out around midnight or so.
He said that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
