Investigation Moves Forward After Preliminary SIT Report

Addressing the gathering, Yogi Adityanath recalled that during his visit to Ayodhya on June 19, he had assured people that the matter would be thoroughly investigated before any decision was taken. He stated that the government acted immediately after receiving the initial report from the SIT. According to the Chief Minister, criminal proceedings have now been initiated, and those allegedly involved have already been taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.

Officials confirmed that a case was registered against eight individuals, including personnel responsible for cash counting and former banking employees. Following the registration of the case, all the accused were arrested as investigators continued examining the alleged misuse of temple donations.

Government Promises Fair and Transparent Inquiry

The Chief Minister said the state’s approach has remained consistent from the beginning, emphasizing that the facts would be established through a fair investigation rather than speculation. He assured the public that no individual would receive protection if found guilty and that every action would be taken strictly under the law.

Yogi Adityanath added that the inquiry is progressing impartially and that the administration remains focused on ensuring complete transparency throughout the investigation.

Remarks on Arvind Kejriwal’s Ayodhya Visit

During his address, the Chief Minister also commented on the visit of Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal to Ayodhya earlier in the day. Without changing his criticism of the opposition leader, Yogi said Delhi had witnessed years of alleged corruption under his leadership and claimed that the national capital could have witnessed greater development if governance had followed the same model that the BJP government has adopted in Ayodhya.

Earlier on Friday, Kejriwal visited both the Ram Temple and Hanuman Garhi temple. During his visit, he alleged that influential individuals were being shielded in the donation case while lower-level employees were being held responsible.

Appeal Against Unverified Allegations

The Chief Minister also criticized opposition parties for what he described as attempts to amplify the controversy without complete facts. He said Ayodhya holds immense religious significance for millions of devotees and urged political leaders to avoid statements that could hurt public sentiment or damage the city’s reputation.

He maintained that while the government is determined to punish anyone found guilty, allegations made without supporting evidence only create unnecessary confusion. He further appealed to anyone possessing credible information or documentary evidence related to the case to submit it directly to the SIT instead of making public accusations.

Opposition Criticised Over Ram Temple Politics

Yogi Adityanath also targeted the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, alleging that leaders now raising questions regarding Ayodhya had earlier opposed the construction of the Ram Temple and questioned the historical significance of Lord Ram. He said the government remains focused on completing the investigation fairly and ensuring accountability through legal procedures.

Reiterating his government’s position, the Chief Minister concluded that no guilty person would escape punishment once the investigation is completed and all available evidence is examined.
