Education –  The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step toward strengthening its higher education landscape by granting in-principle approval for the establishment of a new private institution, Metro University, in Greater Noida.

Cabinet nod for new private university

The decision was cleared during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday. The proposed Metro University will be developed in the private sector and is expected to contribute to the growing demand for quality higher education across the state.

According to officials, the university will be set up on a 26.1-acre campus allocated by the Greater Noida Authority. The project aims to provide a modern academic environment supported by advanced infrastructure and learning tools designed to meet current educational standards.

The sponsoring organization, Sunhill Healthcare Private Limited, based in Noida, submitted the proposal. Officials stated that the plan underwent a detailed review process to ensure it met all legal and regulatory requirements before receiving approval.
