Crime – A 45-year-old man accused of sexually harassing a woman in Moradabad was injured in a police encounter late Thursday night, officials confirmed. The suspect, who had been posing as a cleric but works as a women’s tailor, sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg and is currently receiving treatment at a district hospital.

According to police sources, the incident occurred near Jama Masjid at around 11 pm. Authorities said the accused attempted to evade arrest and allegedly fired at the police team when cornered. Officers responded with controlled retaliatory fire, during which the suspect was hit in the leg. He was immediately taken into custody and later shifted to a hospital for treatment.
