BJP – Nitin Nabin Begins Two-Day Lucknow Visit Before 2027 Polls
BJP – Bharatiya Janata Party national president Nitin Nabin is set to begin a two-day organisational tour of Lucknow on Saturday, with a packed schedule of meetings aimed at reviewing the party’s structure and preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections due in 2027. The visit, planned for July 4 and 5, comes after the programme was shifted from its earlier July 3–4 schedule.

Focus on Uttar Pradesh organisational strategy
The BJP leadership views the visit as an important step in strengthening its state-level network after the formation of the party’s new Uttar Pradesh unit. Nabin is expected to discuss the party’s future organisational direction, campaign planning and preparations for upcoming political programmes with senior leaders and office-bearers.
He is scheduled to reach Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport at around 11 am on Saturday. Party workers are expected to receive him at the airport before he proceeds to the BJP state headquarters in Lucknow.
Roadshow planned from airport to party headquarters
Nabin’s journey from the airport to the BJP office will include a roadshow through several key areas of the city. The proposed route includes Alambagh, T.N. Chaturvedi Chauraha, Charbagh, Deendayal Smritika, Maharana Pratap Chauraha and Burlington Chauraha.
BJP workers are expected to gather at different points along the route to welcome the national president. The party has described the programme as an opportunity for workers and local leaders to engage with the central leadership ahead of the next Assembly election cycle.
Meeting with state and district leaders
After reaching the state headquarters, Nabin will preside over a major organisational meeting involving state office-bearers, regional presidents, state morcha heads and district presidents. The discussion is expected to cover the BJP’s future action plan, planned public outreach programmes and election-related coordination.
The meeting will also focus on improving communication between the state leadership, regional units and district-level teams. Strengthening the party’s presence at the booth level is likely to remain an important part of the discussions.
Interaction with elected representatives and NDA partners
During his stay, Nabin will meet BJP Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly and Members of the Legislative Council. He is also expected to hold discussions with senior party leaders and representatives of the National Democratic Alliance in Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP chief will address the Shakti Kendra Convenor Conference for the Awadh region. The event is expected to focus on grassroots organisation, worker coordination and booth-level mobilisation, which are considered central to the party’s election planning.
Temple visit and core committee discussions
Later on Saturday, Nabin is scheduled to visit Shri Hanuman Setu Temple in Lucknow at around 4 pm. Following the temple visit, he will hold meetings with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the two deputy chief ministers and BJP legislators.
He will also take part in a meeting of the Uttar Pradesh BJP Core Committee. The discussions are expected to include organisational priorities, political outreach and the party’s strategy for the period leading up to the 2027 Assembly polls.
Sunday schedule includes former presidents and NDA meeting
In the evening, Nabin will meet people from different professional fields at the Lucknow residence of Padma Shri recipient Dr Vidya Bindu Singh. The day will conclude with dinner alongside Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
On Sunday, the BJP president will begin his programme with a tea meeting involving former Uttar Pradesh BJP presidents. He will later attend a joint meeting with NDA leaders in the state.
According to the BJP, the two-day visit is intended to reinforce the organisation across Uttar Pradesh and provide direction for its electoral planning in the run-up to the 2027 Assembly elections.
