TempleVisit –  Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla visited the renowned Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala on Monday, where he participated in the early morning Suprabhata Seva and offered prayers. Accompanied by members of his family, the Governor sought blessings at one of the country’s most revered Hindu pilgrimage destinations.

Governor Participates in Sacred Morning Ritual

According to information shared by the Governor’s office, Shukla attended the traditional morning worship ceremony at the hill temple and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the people. The visit formed part of his spiritual engagement at the famous shrine, which draws devotees from across India throughout the year.

The Governor’s office also shared details of the visit through an official social media post, noting that he paid respects to Lord Venkateswara and offered prayers during his time at the temple complex.

Tirumala Temple Remains a Major Pilgrimage Centre

Located on the seventh peak of the Seshachalam Hills in Andhra Pradesh, the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is widely regarded as one of the most significant Hindu places of worship in the country. Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, popularly known as Balaji, the temple has a long-standing religious and cultural importance.

Every year, millions of devotees from different regions of India as well as from overseas travel to Tirumala to seek blessings and participate in various religious ceremonies. The shrine continues to remain a symbol of faith and devotion for people from diverse backgrounds.

Focus on Inclusion and Sports Development

The Governor’s visit to Tirumala comes weeks after he attended the 14th Presentation and Felicitation Ceremony organised by the Aditya Mehta Foundation in Hyderabad on June 4. During the event, he commended the organisation for its work in supporting persons with disabilities through sports training, rehabilitation programmes and skill development initiatives.

Interacting with para-athletes during the programme, Shukla reviewed the facilities available for training and appreciated the efforts being made to identify and nurture talent from the grassroots level. He noted that such initiatives play an important role in helping athletes compete successfully at national and international events.

Praise for Para-Athletes’ Achievements

The Governor also congratulated several para-cyclists, including Shivani, Jyoti, Sheikh Arshad and Leesha Das, for their accomplishments in competitive sports. He described their achievements as a matter of pride and said their dedication and determination serve as an inspiration to many aspiring athletes.

Expressing confidence in their future performances, Shukla said that continued commitment and hard work would help them achieve greater success while strengthening India’s standing in international sporting competitions.

During his address, the Governor highlighted the importance of creating an inclusive society and stressed that empowerment should extend beyond government policies. He observed that organisations working in the field of disability support contribute significantly by building confidence and creating opportunities for individuals to demonstrate their abilities.

He further remarked that institutions such as the Aditya Mehta Foundation are helping transform lives by encouraging participation, promoting self-reliance and ensuring that talented individuals receive platforms to showcase their potential.
