CrimeNews – A man was found murdered in a deserted railway goods yard area, with investigators later uncovering a conspiracy allegedly driven by suspicions of police informant activity.

The body of a 38-year-old man was discovered early Monday morning near the goods yard close to Itwari Railway Station, sending shockwaves through the local community. Authorities were alerted around 5 a.m. after the victim was found lying in an isolated section of the railway premises. The case immediately triggered a large-scale investigation by local police units.

Technology Helps Establish Victim’s Identity

At the time of discovery, investigators were unable to identify the deceased. Police later confirmed that the victim was Abdul Rahim, also known as Rammu, a resident of the Shantinagar area.

According to officials, the breakthrough came after Lakadganj Police utilized the city police department’s Simba technology platform. Officers uploaded the victim’s photograph into the system, which helped trace his identity. Family members were subsequently contacted and confirmed that the deceased was Abdul Rahim. During discussions with investigators, relatives reportedly raised concerns about several individuals known to be closely associated with him.

Swift Police Action Leads to Detentions

Following the identification of the victim, police teams moved quickly to track down potential suspects. A coordinated operation involving Lakadganj Police and Crime Branch Unit 3 resulted in the detention of several individuals believed to be connected to the case.

Officials said that within a short period of time, investigators were able to locate and question key suspects. Three individuals, identified as Parshevar, Santosh Patel, and a juvenile, were taken into custody for their alleged involvement in the crime.

The rapid arrests were made possible through a combination of witness inputs, technical investigation methods, and intelligence gathered during the initial stages of the inquiry.

Suspected Informer Motive Emerges

As questioning continued, investigators uncovered what they believe was the motive behind the killing. According to police sources, the accused allegedly suspected Abdul Rahim of sharing information about their unlawful activities with law enforcement authorities.

Isolated Location Chosen for the Attack

Preliminary findings indicate that the suspects allegedly persuaded Abdul Rahim to accompany them to the secluded Maldhakka area. Investigators believe the location was deliberately chosen because it remained largely deserted during the early hours of the day.

Once there, the victim was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon. Police said the assault proved fatal, resulting in severe injuries to the neck. The accused then reportedly fled the scene, leaving the body behind.
