Chargesheet Filed Against Four Accused

In a significant step in the investigation, Nashik Police have submitted a chargesheet running close to 1,500 pages before the Additional Sessions and Special Court at Nashik Road. The filing relates to one of several FIRs registered in the high-profile TCS-linked matter that has drawn considerable public attention over recent weeks.

The chargesheet names four individuals identified as Danish Ejaj Sheikh, Tausif Bilal Attar, Nida Ejaj Khan, and Mateen Majid Patel. The case was originally registered at the Deolali Camp Police Station under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with sections of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

SIT Examining Multiple Complaints

Officials involved in the investigation stated that the matter is being handled by a Special Investigation Team formed under the instructions of Nashik Police Commissioner Sandip Karnik. The SIT was constituted after several complaints linked to the case surfaced, leading authorities to register a total of nine FIRs.

Investigators suspect that the accused were part of a planned conspiracy involving harassment and actions allegedly intended to hurt religious sentiments. Police sources said the inquiry is continuing across all related complaints to establish the complete sequence of events and identify any additional involvement.

Digital and Documentary Evidence Collected

According to investigators, the chargesheet includes a large collection of documentary and electronic evidence gathered during the probe. Authorities have relied on statements from 17 witnesses that were officially recorded before a judicial magistrate.

The evidence list also contains medical examination reports of both the complainant and the accused persons. In addition, police have examined digital records such as WhatsApp conversations, mobile phone data, and email communications as part of the investigation.

Officials further confirmed that several documents connected to an alleged attempt to alter the victim’s identity details were seized during the inquiry. Financial papers, bank account records, caste certificates, vehicle registration details, and identification parade documents have also been included in the case file submitted before the court.

Further Investigation Still Underway

Police clarified that the recently submitted chargesheet pertains only to one FIR, while the wider investigation remains active. Authorities indicated that additional findings could lead to a supplementary chargesheet under provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

The remaining eight FIRs registered at Mumbai Naka Police Station are still under examination. Officials said separate chargesheets in those cases will be filed within the legally prescribed timeline once the investigations are completed.

Courts Continue to Deny Bail

All accused connected to the matter have so far failed to secure bail from the court. Judicial proceedings in the case have continued as investigators present material evidence collected during the probe.

Earlier this month, on May 11, accused Nida Khan was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody after being produced before the Nashik Road Court. Following the court order, she was transferred to Nashik Road Central Jail.

The case continues to remain under close scrutiny due to the serious nature of the allegations and the involvement of multiple complaints being examined simultaneously by the SIT.
