Faster Access to Emergency Medical Assistance

As part of the newly introduced system, Emergency Treatment Certificates will be issued promptly and delivered either to the residence of the concerned police employee or directly to the hospital where treatment is being provided. The move is intended to reduce paperwork-related delays so that patients can receive timely medical care when every minute matters.

Round-the-Clock Coordination Ordered

To support the smooth functioning of the service, the Medical Branch has been instructed to maintain continuous coordination throughout the day and night. According to the official order, emergency requests must be processed immediately to ensure that police personnel and their dependents do not face administrative hurdles while seeking treatment during critical situations.

The department believes that faster document processing will help hospitals begin treatment procedures without avoidable interruptions, making emergency healthcare more accessible for beneficiaries.

Officials Directed to Ensure Strict Compliance

The order also places responsibility on all concerned officers and department in-charges to work in close coordination for effective implementation of the initiative. Every official involved has been directed to follow the instructions carefully and ensure that the service operates efficiently whenever an emergency request is received.

The administration has emphasized that coordinated efforts among different branches will be essential for the successful execution of the doorstep certificate delivery system.

Support for Serving and Retired Personnel

The initiative has been designed to benefit both serving and retired Delhi Police personnel, as well as their eligible dependents. By eliminating the need to personally visit offices for emergency documentation, the department aims to reduce stress on families already dealing with medical emergencies.

Officials expect that the new arrangement will provide quicker access to essential medical formalities, allowing affected families to focus on treatment instead of administrative procedures.

Warning Against Delays in Implementation

The directive was issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central District), Prashant Chaudhary, who stressed the importance of timely execution. The order clearly states that any unnecessary delay or failure to comply with the instructions will invite disciplinary action against the responsible officials.

By introducing doorstep delivery of Emergency Treatment Certificates and strengthening internal coordination, the Delhi Police seeks to make emergency medical support more responsive and efficient. The initiative reflects the department’s effort to provide practical assistance to its personnel and their families during times of urgent medical need while ensuring that official procedures do not become an obstacle to immediate healthcare
