Recruitment – Uttarakhand Government Encourages Newly Appointed Employees to Serve Public Honestly
Recruitment – Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday reached out to thousands of newly appointed government employees through digital letters, urging them to work with dedication and become an inspiration for future aspirants preparing for public service roles across the state.

In his message, the Chief Minister congratulated the selected candidates and extended his best wishes for their professional journey. He also interacted personally with several recruits over the phone, appreciating their efforts and encouraging them to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and enthusiasm.
Focus on Responsible Public Service
During his conversations with the newly recruited employees, Dhami stressed the importance of serving people with honesty and commitment. He reminded them that public service is not just employment but a responsibility towards society and the state.
The Chief Minister said that after receiving a second opportunity to lead Uttarakhand in 2022, he has consistently considered himself a “Chief Servant” of the people. According to him, the government has been making continuous efforts to fulfill the trust placed in it by the public.
He urged the selected candidates to maintain integrity in their work and ensure that citizens receive fair treatment from government institutions.
Large-Scale Recruitment Drive Continues
Highlighting the state government’s employment initiatives, Dhami stated that more than 30,000 appointment letters have been distributed during the last four years. He added that the recruitment process is still underway in several departments to fill vacant positions.
The Chief Minister described the appointments as a major achievement not only for the selected individuals and their families but also for the state administration. He noted that employment opportunities within government departments have been expanded with the objective of reducing unemployment among the youth.
According to the government, recruitment drives were accelerated soon after Dhami assumed office, with a focus on filling long-pending vacancies in different sectors.
Merit-Based Selection Highlighted
Dhami also underlined the importance of transparency in the recruitment process. He said the selected candidates earned their positions solely through hard work, merit, and talent.
The Chief Minister pointed to the state’s anti-cheating laws and stricter examination monitoring systems as key measures that helped ensure fair recruitment. He said these steps were introduced to protect deserving candidates and strengthen confidence in government hiring procedures.
He further remarked that transparent selection systems encourage capable young people to participate in competitive examinations without fear of irregularities.
Appeal to Uphold Human Values
In his message, the Chief Minister advised newly appointed employees to perform their duties with fairness, discipline, and compassion. He asked them to remain accessible to the public and uphold high moral standards while working in government offices.
Dhami also said that government employees play a direct role in shaping public trust in the administration. He encouraged the recruits to maintain a people-first approach and deliver services efficiently.
The outreach initiative, involving personal communication and digital letters, is being viewed as an effort by the Uttarakhand government to motivate newly selected employees at the beginning of their careers. Officials believe such interactions can help strengthen accountability and improve public service delivery across departments.
The move has also gained attention because of the Chief Minister’s direct engagement with young recruits, many of whom recently entered government service after clearing competitive examinations.
