Residents familiar with ground-level changes in Assam pointed to significant upgrades in road networks and transport facilities over the past several years. These improvements have not only enhanced daily commuting but also made travel between major towns and rural areas more efficient.
Ankur Dutta, originally from North Lakhimpur and currently employed in the private sector, shared his observations on the transformation. He noted that journeys which once took close to eight hours from Guwahati to his hometown can now be completed in nearly half the time. According to him, such developments have had a tangible impact on people’s lives, strengthening confidence in the current administration.
He also highlighted the establishment of a new medical college in his district, describing it as a major step forward for healthcare access in the region. For many residents, these improvements represent long-term investments that extend beyond immediate political gains.
