Development –India development roadmap and Gujarat governance focus – Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed gratitude on Wednesday after receiving birthday greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, reaffirming that the state remains dedicated to supporting the national objective of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. In his responses shared on social media platform X, Patel said Gujarat would continue contributing actively to India’s long-term development agenda under the leadership of the Prime Minister while maintaining its focus on inclusive growth and public welfare.

Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message, Bhupendra Patel thanked him for his warm wishes and acknowledged his leadership as a guiding force for Gujarat’s development journey. He stated that the state is determined to remain at the forefront of national progress and contribute meaningfully to the vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. Patel noted that the encouragement and guidance received from the Prime Minister continue to inspire the state administration in carrying out its responsibilities.

Focus on Inclusive and Transparent Governance

The Chief Minister highlighted that Team Gujarat is working with dedication, transparency and accountability to ensure balanced growth across the state. According to Patel, the government’s development efforts are centred on improving the lives of every section of society, particularly economically weaker communities and those who require greater public support. He said the administration remains committed to delivering benefits that reach people at the grassroots while promoting inclusive and sustainable development.

Response to Amit Shah’s Greetings

Bhupendra Patel also conveyed his appreciation to Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah for extending birthday greetings. In his message, Patel said the Gujarat government would continue advancing key priorities under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. These priorities include strengthening the rural economy, expanding the cooperative movement, maintaining effective law and order, and ensuring comprehensive development throughout the state.

National Leaders Highlight Gujarat’s Progress

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Patel’s contribution to Gujarat’s development and extended his wishes for good health and a long life. The Prime Minister said the Chief Minister has been actively working to accelerate development across the state while fulfilling the aspirations of its people.

Union Minister Amit Shah also commended Patel’s role in taking forward Gujarat’s growth journey under the Prime Minister’s leadership. Shah wished him continued good health and success while recognising his contribution to the state’s ongoing development initiatives.

Leadership Since 2021

Bhupendra Patel celebrated his 64th birthday on Wednesday. He assumed office as Gujarat’s Chief Minister in September 2021 and secured a second consecutive term after the Bharatiya Janata Party registered a decisive victory in the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections.

Before becoming Chief Minister, Patel built his public career through local governance. A qualified civil engineer, he served in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, later chaired the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority, and currently represents the Ghatlodia Assembly constituency in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly.

Development Agenda Continues

Since taking charge, Patel has overseen initiatives focused on industrial expansion, infrastructure projects, urban administration and welfare programmes. The Gujarat government has continued aligning several state policies with the Centre’s long-term development strategy aimed at achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. State officials have consistently emphasised economic growth, improved public services and inclusive governance as central pillars of Gujarat’s development agenda.
