DelhiCrime – Third Arrest Made After Teenager Killed in Badarpur Stabbing Case
DelhiCrime – A third suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the killing of a 17-year-old boy in Delhi’s Badarpur area, as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the deadly attack. Police confirmed on Monday that the latest arrest has raised the total number of accused detained in the case to three.

Police Investigation Reaches Another Milestone
The incident occurred on Sunday evening in the Molarband locality of Southeast Delhi, where the teenager was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon. Officials said two suspects had already been arrested shortly after the crime, while the third accused was apprehended during the ongoing investigation. Authorities are continuing to gather evidence and question those linked to the case.
According to police, information about the stabbing was received at around 8 pm through a Daily Diary entry reporting violence near Pandey Medical Store on Gali No. 4 along the 40-Foot Road in Molarband. Responding officers immediately reached the location, secured the area, and began collecting evidence to establish the sequence of events.
Dispute Allegedly Linked to Personal Relationship
Initial findings suggest the victim had been in a relationship with a young woman. Investigators believe the woman’s brother allegedly contacted the teenager and asked him to meet at the location to discuss the matter. The boy reportedly arrived with three friends, where another group was already waiting.
Police said a confrontation soon developed between the two groups. During the argument, the situation escalated into violence, and the teenager was allegedly stabbed multiple times with a sharp-edged weapon. The injuries were primarily to his chest and abdomen, leaving him critically wounded at the scene.
Victim Succumbed During Medical Treatment
People present nearby helped rush the injured teenager to the AIIMS Trauma Centre without delay. Despite receiving emergency medical treatment, doctors were unable to save him, and he later died from his injuries.
Following the incident, forensic experts and the crime investigation team inspected the scene and collected physical evidence to support the investigation. Police have registered a criminal case under the applicable legal provisions and stated that further inquiries are underway to determine the complete sequence of events and the involvement of each accused.
Family Seeks Justice After Tragic Loss
The victim was identified as 17-year-old Yash, a Class 12 student and the only child of his parents. His father, Jagmohan Singh, expressed deep grief while appealing for strict legal action against those responsible for his son’s death.
Speaking about the incident, Singh said Yash had left home on Sunday evening at around 6:30 pm with a friend after telling the family he was going out to get fuel. A short time later, the family received a phone call informing them that the teenager had been admitted to the hospital. By the time they arrived, doctors had declared him dead.
Jagmohan Singh alleged that his son had been attacked with a knife and urged authorities to ensure that those involved face the full force of the law. He described Yash as his only son and said the family is seeking justice while hoping the investigation leads to appropriate legal action against everyone responsible.
