Fatal Attack Reported in Shalimar Bagh
Late on Thursday night, police received an emergency call reporting a stabbing near Haiderpur Nahar in the Shalimar Bagh area. Responding officers found a young man critically injured at the scene. The victim, identified as 20-year-old Nikki, also known as Nitesh, was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Preliminary findings suggest that the attack stemmed from a dispute that escalated quickly. Investigators believe the victim was stabbed multiple times during the altercation, leading to fatal injuries.
Accused Shared Video Confession Online
In a disturbing development, one of the accused, identified as Karan, also known as Tarun, allegedly recorded and shared a video on social media shortly after the incident. In the video, he is seen speaking casually about committing the crime, even mentioning the time and suggesting he would soon be taken into custody.
The video quickly caught the attention of authorities and added urgency to the investigation. Officials described the act as both alarming and indicative of a growing trend of individuals seeking attention through violent acts online.
Swift Police Action Leads to Arrests
Acting on local intelligence and digital tracking methods, police teams launched a coordinated search operation. Within four hours of the incident being reported, officers successfully apprehended all three suspects—Karan, Monty, aged 22, and a juvenile whose identity has not been disclosed due to legal protections.
According to senior officials, all three individuals have admitted to their involvement during initial questioning. Authorities are now working to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine the exact motive behind the crime.
Separate Incident in Azadpur Mandi Raises Concerns
In a separate but equally troubling case, another fatal stabbing was reported in the early hours of Friday at Azadpur Mandi, also in northwest Delhi. This incident reportedly began over a minor disagreement regarding the price of gutka.
The victim, 35-year-old Nazim, originally from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, was working as a driver. He was taken to BJRM Hospital following the attack but was declared dead on arrival.
Police have arrested the आरोपी, identified as 19-year-old Rahul, a resident of Libaspur. Authorities confirmed that he was taken into custody shortly after the incident, and further investigation is ongoing.

Both incidents have raised concerns among law enforcement agencies about the increasing frequency of violent confrontations stemming from minor disputes. Officials emphasized the importance of community awareness and conflict resolution to prevent such tragic outcomes.
