Police Operation Ends With Arrest of Two Alleged Shooters

According to police sources, the Crime Branch intercepted two men travelling on a scooter near Sector-29 in Rohini on Wednesday night. The suspects were reportedly approaching from the Khera Khurd side when officers attempted to stop them for questioning.

Investigators said the situation escalated after the two men allegedly fired at the police team. Officers responded with retaliatory fire, leading to a short exchange before both suspects were successfully apprehended. Police confirmed that neither suspect managed to escape the scene and both were taken into custody for further legal proceedings.

Weapons Recovered During the Operation

Following the arrests, officers recovered two pistols believed to have been in the possession of the accused. The seized firearms have been sent for forensic examination as investigators work to determine whether they were used in previous criminal activities.

Senior officials from Delhi Police later visited the encounter site to supervise the investigation and review the circumstances surrounding the operation. Authorities stated that the incident followed established police procedures and that further inquiries are continuing.

Links to Murder Case Under Investigation

Preliminary findings suggest that the two arrested individuals may have been connected to the murder of Joginder Dabas in the Pooth Khurd area. Police sources indicated that one of the accused is believed to have links with the Himanshu Bhau gang.

Investigators are also examining information indicating that gang associates, identified as Vicky Hadla and Daku Kulasi, allegedly instructed the suspects to carry out firing incidents at multiple locations across the city. Police officials have not yet disclosed additional operational details, saying the interrogation of both accused is still underway.

Separate Stabbing Incident Claims One Life

In another case reported by Delhi Police, a 30-year-old man was killed after being stabbed during an altercation at Khimman Singh Park in the Ashok Vihar area.

Police said they received a PCR call about the incident at approximately 3:33 PM on Wednesday. Responding officers reached the park and found the victim with serious injuries.

The deceased was identified as Sunil, a resident of Mainpuri district in Uttar Pradesh. According to investigators, he was at the park with Devki, a resident of Jahangirpuri, when three to four unidentified youths allegedly approached them. An argument reportedly broke out before one of the suspects attacked both Sunil and Devki with a knife.

Search Underway for the Accused

Police said the attackers fled the location immediately after the assault. Sunil later succumbed to his injuries, while authorities are gathering evidence and reviewing available leads to identify those involved.

Officials have launched a search operation to trace the suspects and are examining witness statements as part of the investigation. Both the Rohini encounter and the Ashok Vihar stabbing remain under active investigation, with police expected to reveal further details as inquiries progress.
