Delhi Air Pollution: Despite strict regulations, the city still struggles with “Very Poor” air quality at 366; see the station-wise AQI
Delhi Air Pollution: The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) AQI data indicates a little improvement from yesterday, but Delhi residents still have to deal with the city’s consistently “very poor” air quality. At 8 a.m. on Monday, December 22, Delhi’s air quality was 366, up 21 points from 387 on December 21.

But with an AQI over 300, the city still falls into the “very poor” category.
A dense layer of hazardous haze covered most of the city, making it difficult to see and causing health problems, including sore throats and plugged noses.
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) implemented all of the measures under Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), which is enforced during the most severe air pollution period, across Delhi-NCR due to the declining air quality.
According to CPCB data from many air quality monitoring stations located around Delhi, the air quality in a number of locations remained in the “severe” category.
Today’s Delhi Smog Level: Station-Wise Air Quality Through forty air quality monitoring stations located across Delhi, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) assesses the quality of the air in the nation’s capital.
Eight out of 40 monitoring stations reported “severe” air quality, with the air quality index above 400 and a thick layer of smog choking Jahangirpur, Anand Vihar, Rohini, and other places. Since pollution controls were put in place, the number of places with air quality classified as “severe” has drastically decreased.
Not a single one of the 40 sites registered “poor” air quality, defined as less than 300.
Anand Vihar-404, Mundka-401, Wazirpur-405, DTU Delhi-400, Jahangirpuri-403, Bawana-408, Narela-418, and Rohini-402 are among the Delhi areas experiencing “severe” AQI today.
