Crime Investigation – A disturbing incident reported in West Delhi has led to the arrest of two men after a woman accused them of sexually assaulting her inside a private sleeper bus. Police confirmed on Wednesday that the suspects, identified as the driver and conductor of the vehicle, were taken into custody following the complaint filed by the survivor.
Incident Reported After Woman Returned From Work
According to investigators, the alleged assault took place late on Monday night in the Nangloi area of Delhi. Officials stated that the woman, who works at a factory in Mangolpuri, was on her way home after finishing her shift. She reportedly boarded the bus near Saraswati Vihar after it stopped close to the roadside.
Police sources said the woman had approached a man standing near the entrance of the bus to ask about the time. Shortly afterward, she was allegedly forced into the vehicle. Authorities claim the bus then moved towards Nangloi, where the crime is believed to have occurred.
Accused Taken Into Custody
Delhi Police registered a formal complaint at Nangloi Police Station soon after the incident came to light. Following preliminary questioning and investigation, officers arrested the two men linked to the case. The private sleeper bus allegedly used during the incident has also been seized for forensic examination and further inquiry.

Reports indicate that the survivor lives in a slum settlement in the Pitampura area and is married with three children. Authorities stated that her statement has been recorded, and the case is being handled under relevant legal provisions connected to sexual assault allegations.
Police officials said multiple angles are being examined to establish the complete sequence of events. Investigators are also reviewing the route taken by the bus and checking available surveillance footage from nearby locations.
