Admissions – The National Testing Agency has announced revised dates for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 after some examinations scheduled for May 28 were postponed due to Bakrid celebrations. The rescheduled examinations will now take place on May 31, June 6 and June 7 across multiple centres in India and overseas.

Cuet 2026 revised exam schedule

More than 15.68 lakh students have registered for the national-level entrance examination this year, making CUET one of the largest undergraduate admission tests conducted in the country. The examination serves as a gateway for admission into several central, state, private and deemed universities.

Admit Cards Released for May 31 Examination

The National Testing Agency confirmed that admit cards for candidates appearing in the May 31 examination have already been uploaded on the official CUET portal. Students can access and download their hall tickets by visiting the official website and entering their application details.

According to the agency, admit cards for examinations scheduled on June 6 and June 7 will be issued shortly. Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official portal for updates regarding examination centres, reporting time and other important instructions.

CUET Continues as Major Admission Platform

CUET has become an important part of the undergraduate admission process for universities across India. More than 250 universities are accepting CUET scores for admission into various undergraduate courses for the 2026 academic session.

The participating institutions include 49 Central universities such as Jawaharlal Nehru University, University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University and Aligarh Muslim University. Apart from Central universities, the list also features 36 state universities along with private universities, government institutions and deemed universities.

Students Advised to Follow Official Updates

Education authorities have urged candidates to rely only on official notifications released by the National Testing Agency regarding examination schedules and admit card availability. Students are also advised to carefully review instructions mentioned on the admit card before appearing for the examination.

With revised dates now confirmed, universities and students are preparing for the next phase of the admission process. The CUET examination remains a key factor in determining undergraduate admissions for thousands of aspiring students seeking entry into higher education institutions across the country.
