NuclearDeal – Netanyahu Says Israel and US Remain Closely Aligned on Iran
NuclearDeal – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected claims that Israel was surprised by recent diplomatic engagement between Washington and Tehran, stating that communication between the two allies remains constant and coordinated.

Speaking on Wednesday, Netanyahu said he remains in frequent contact with US President Donald Trump and emphasized that officials from both governments are communicating regularly regarding developments linked to Iran.
Netanyahu Highlights Ongoing Coordination
According to Netanyahu, discussions between Israel and the United States are taking place almost every day as both sides monitor the situation closely. He noted that another direct conversation with Trump was expected later in the day.
The Israeli leader stressed that both countries continue to share common strategic goals concerning Iran, particularly regarding Tehran’s nuclear activities. He said the primary concern remains the removal of enriched nuclear material and preventing Iran from advancing its nuclear programme further.
Netanyahu also stated that Israel is prepared to respond to any possible development involving Iran, adding that the country is maintaining readiness for multiple scenarios.
Israel Maintains Concerns Over Iran’s Capabilities
Israeli officials have repeatedly expressed concern over Iran’s missile programme and nuclear infrastructure despite ongoing diplomatic discussions. Reports indicate that some officials within Israel continue to support stronger military action if negotiations fail to produce results.
Security analysts in the region believe Israel remains cautious about any agreement that could allow Iran to retain sensitive nuclear capabilities. The issue has remained central to discussions between Washington and Tel Aviv over recent years.
Trump Warns Iran During White House Remarks
Earlier on Wednesday, President Trump delivered a strong warning to Iran during remarks at the White House. He urged Tehran to move forward with an agreement aimed at ending tensions or risk facing another round of military action.
Trump suggested that negotiations had recently shown signs of progress and said discussions between US and Iranian representatives over the previous 24 hours had been productive.
He also repeated Washington’s long-standing position that Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
Possibility of Diplomatic Breakthrough Remains
Despite the sharp rhetoric, Trump indicated that a diplomatic resolution could still be achieved in the near future. He told reporters that Iran appeared interested in reaching an agreement and described recent talks as constructive.
When questioned about suggestions that Tehran was refusing to cooperate, Trump dismissed the claim and argued that negotiations were still ongoing.
The US President maintained that preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons remains the central objective of American policy in the region.
Trump Claims Iran’s Military Strength Has Weakened
During his comments, Trump also claimed that Iran’s military infrastructure had suffered extensive damage during previous confrontations. He referred to losses involving naval assets, aircraft and missile systems, while also alleging that radar and air defence networks had been severely impacted.
In addition, Trump claimed several Iranian military leaders were no longer active following the conflict. He argued that Iran would require many years to fully rebuild its military strength if hostilities were to end now.
Even while making those claims, Trump continued to argue that diplomacy remains the preferred path if an agreement can be reached.
Global Attention Focused on Iran Negotiations
The latest remarks from both Washington and Tel Aviv come at a time of heightened international attention on Iran’s nuclear programme and regional security. Governments across Europe and the Middle East continue to closely monitor negotiations, as any breakthrough or escalation could significantly affect regional stability and global energy markets.
Diplomatic efforts are expected to continue in the coming days as pressure grows for a resolution that can reduce tensions while addressing international concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
