Entertainment News – Dia Mirza Recalls Salman Khan’s Early Career Remark
Entertainment News – Actress Dia Mirza has shared an amusing memory from the early days of her film career, recalling a prediction made by Salman Khan that left her stunned at the time.

During a recent visit by filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan to Dia Mirza’s residence for a YouTube episode, the two spent time cooking a healthy banana bread while discussing films, careers, and memorable experiences from the industry. Their conversation eventually turned to Dia’s work with Salman Khan in the 2002 film “Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge”.
A Lighthearted Suggestion Sparks an Old Memory
As the discussion progressed, Farah Khan suggested that Dia should reunite with Salman Khan for another film. Responding with humor, Dia remarked that the superstar now works alongside much younger actresses. That comment prompted her to revisit a memorable exchange she once had with Salman during the shooting of their film together.
Dia revealed that Salman had made an unexpected prediction about her future in the film industry when she was just beginning her acting journey. According to her, he jokingly told her that one day she would end up portraying his mother on screen.
Salman’s Prediction Left Dia Shocked
Remembering the incident, Dia said she was only 19 years old when the conversation took place. She recalled sitting alongside Salman Khan and actor Rajpal Yadav while waiting for a scene to be filmed.
During that time, the actress playing Salman’s mother in the movie had recently become a mother in real life. Dia found it surprising that someone she considered relatively young was cast in the role of a screen mother.
She mentioned that she pointed this out to Salman, saying that the actress had recently had a baby and therefore seemed quite young for such a character. Salman then replied in a playful manner, assuring her that the same situation would eventually happen to her as well.
The remark caught Dia completely off guard at the time, and she admitted she was horrified by the idea. Years later, however, she looks back on the exchange as one of the many humorous memories from her early days in Bollywood.
