Jaishankar: Meeting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, EAM talks about strengthening bilateral ties
Jaishankar: the External Affairs Minister (EAM), visited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem and sent Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s best wishes.

The two leaders spoke on expanding India-Israeli collaboration in a number of areas, such as technology, the economy, talent and skills, connectivity, and security.
“Very grateful for the call on Prime Minister Israel Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem this evening,” EAM Jaishankar tweeted on social network X on Wednesday. “This evening, I met in my office in Jerusalem with India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar,” PM Netanyahu wrote on X after the meeting.
EAM Jaishankar also met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Tuesday, during which they discussed the strategic cooperation between Israel and India and its ongoing progress.
“Happy to call on President Isaac Herzog of Israel today,” Jaishankar tweeted on X. sent Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu heartfelt wishes. We spoke about the ongoing development of our strategic partnership. reaffirmed India’s unwavering commitment to maintaining regional peace.
President Herzog took to X to say that he was pleased to meet with EAM Jaishankar and that they had spoken about measures to strengthen strategic connections and expand regional collaboration, particularly via the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).
Meeting with India’s External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, was enjoyable. The Israeli president wrote on X, “We talked about the importance of expanding regional cooperation, including through the great vision of the IMEC, and opportunities to deepen strategic Israel-India ties.”
Additionally, EAM Jaishankar met with Nir Barkat, Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry, to discuss ways to strengthen their collaboration in innovation and investment.
“I had a wonderful meeting today in Jerusalem with Nir Barkat, Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry. spoke about increasing our collaboration in innovation and investment. expressed optimism that the India-Israel Free Trade Agreement will be finalized soon in order to strengthen our economic ties,” EAM said on X.
Additionally, Israeli Minister Barkat expressed his happiness at meeting EAM Jaishankar. Before I signed a free trade deal with his nation around three weeks ago, we spoke about the difficulties with the framework agreement. He wrote on X, “The future agreement will increase Israeli exports, remove trade barriers, and open up a huge market to Israel.”
