Operation Safed Sagar – Actress Dia Mirza has spoken about the emotional journey of portraying Kamalpreet Kaur Dhanoa in the upcoming Netflix series Operation Safed Sagar, a drama inspired by the Indian Air Force’s role during the 1999 Kargil War.
Dia Mirza said stepping into the role helped her understand the often-overlooked emotional struggles faced by the families of Air Force personnel. Speaking during the trailer launch of the series, the actress explained that her character represents the quiet determination and emotional resilience displayed by military spouses while their loved ones serve in high-risk operations. According to her, Kamalpreet Kaur Dhanoa becomes a source of strength for the women whose husbands are away on critical missions, helping them remain united during uncertain times.
A Character Built on Strength and Compassion
Sharing her thoughts about the role, Dia said Kamalpreet acts as the emotional backbone for the families, offering support when anxiety and uncertainty become part of everyday life.
