Entertainment – Naveen Kasturia Opens Up About Emotional Challenge Behind Father Role
Entertainment – Actor Naveen Kasturia has revealed that portraying a father in his upcoming web series Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya proved to be a far greater challenge than playing a school counsellor. The actor said stepping into the emotional world of a parent required him to understand feelings and experiences that he has not yet encountered in his personal life. The series, which blends comedy with heartfelt storytelling, follows characters dealing with relationships, personal struggles, and the importance of community support.

Naveen Kasturia Reflects on Preparing for the Role
Speaking about his experience, Kasturia said the role of Mukul demanded emotional depth because the character balances the responsibilities of being a school counsellor while trying to build a stronger bond with his young daughter. Since he is not a father in real life, he admitted that portraying the emotions of a parent required careful observation and imagination.
According to the actor, understanding the unique connection between a father and daughter—including affection, hesitation, misunderstandings, and the desire to communicate more openly—became one of the most significant aspects of his preparation. He described the process as both demanding and fulfilling, adding that it allowed him to explore a completely new emotional perspective as a performer.
Working With Child Actors Brought New Challenges
Kasturia also shared that performing alongside child actors initially made him anxious. He explained that children often deliver spontaneous and genuine performances, making every scene feel natural and unpredictable. He praised the young actress portraying his daughter, describing her as exceptionally talented and committed to her role.
He noted that Mukul deeply cares for his daughter and genuinely wants to become someone she can trust and confide in. However, despite their affection for one another, both characters struggle to express their feelings openly. Kasturia believes this quiet emotional distance is something many families experience, making the relationship central to the story’s emotional appeal.
Story Focuses on Everyday Emotions and Relationships
Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya presents a lighthearted narrative while addressing meaningful themes such as hope, resilience, friendship, and community. Rather than relying on dramatic conflicts, the series highlights ordinary relationships and the emotional moments that often remain unspoken.
The actor explained that many of the most powerful scenes involved silence instead of lengthy conversations. Capturing those subtle emotions, he said, became one of the most rewarding parts of the project because they reflected realistic family dynamics that viewers may recognize from their own lives.
Ensemble Cast and Creative Team
The comedy-drama features an extensive ensemble cast, including Kay Kay Menon, Archana Puran Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Prasanna Bisht, Deven Bhojani, Ajitesh Gupta, Annapurna Soni, and Prachee Shah in key roles.
The seven-episode series is directed by Himank Gaur and created and executive produced by Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena under the Posham Pa Pictures banner. The screenplay has been written by Biswapati Sarkar, Akshay Asthana, Nupur Pai, Tatsat Pandey, and Meghna Srivastava.
Streaming Release Scheduled for July 24
The series is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on July 24, 2026. It will be available in Hindi, accompanied by English language support for viewers. With its mix of humour, emotional storytelling, and relatable family relationships, Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya aims to offer audiences a character-driven narrative that explores communication, parenting, and the everyday challenges faced by families while celebrating optimism and human connection.
