NEET2026 – Andhra Pradesh Conducts Medical Entrance Exam Smoothly Across State

NEET2026 – The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2026 was conducted peacefully across Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, with authorities reporting smooth operations at examination centres throughout the State. The test, which serves as the gateway for admission to undergraduate medical courses, was held from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM under extensive administrative supervision.

Extensive Arrangements Ensured Smooth Conduct

To facilitate the examination process, the Andhra Pradesh government coordinated with district administrations, police departments and other agencies to implement comprehensive arrangements. Officials ensured that all centres adhered to security protocols and examination guidelines, allowing candidates to appear for the test without major disruptions.

This year, 65,790 aspirants registered for NEET 2026 across 185 examination centres spread throughout the State. Authorities deployed additional personnel at key locations and maintained close monitoring to ensure orderly movement of candidates and staff before and after the examination.

High Attendance Recorded Across Andhra Pradesh

Preliminary information released after the examination indicated a strong turnout, with more than 90 percent of registered candidates reportedly appearing for the test. Officials noted that attendance levels remained encouraging across most districts, reflecting the significance of the examination for students seeking admission to medical and allied health science programmes.

The examination concluded without reports of major disturbances, and authorities expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the process. Monitoring teams remained active throughout the day to address any operational issues that might arise at examination centres.

Focus on Secure Handling of Examination Material

Following the completion of the examination, the State government initiated measures for the safe handling and transportation of Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) answer sheets. Officials confirmed that the movement of examination materials to the National Testing Agency (NTA) was being closely supervised to maintain transparency and security.

The administration emphasized that strict procedures were followed during the collection and dispatch process to ensure the integrity of the examination system. Security personnel and designated officials were assigned to oversee the transfer of sensitive documents.

District-Wise Attendance Details

In NTR district, 10,920 candidates had registered for the examination across 31 centres. Of these, 10,279 students appeared for the test, while the remaining candidates were absent.

Tirupati district also witnessed substantial participation. Out of 4,556 registered candidates, 4,099 attended the examination. Officials reported that 457 candidates did not appear for the test.

Authorities across the State are expected to compile detailed attendance figures and submit final reports in the coming days. With the examination completed successfully, attention will now shift to the evaluation process and the subsequent stages of medical admissions based on NEET 2026 results.
