FireIncident – Major Blaze Erupts at Electronics Warehouse in Delhi’s Shahdara Area
FireIncident – A major fire broke out at an electronics storage facility in Delhi’s Shahdara district during the early hours of Saturday, prompting a rapid response from emergency services. The incident occurred in Lane Number 7 of Bihari Colony, where flames engulfed a warehouse stocked with electronic goods. Firefighters managed to contain the blaze within about an hour, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby structures.

Firefighters Reach Site Shortly After Alert
According to officials, the Delhi Fire Service received information about the fire shortly before 5 a.m. Emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the location to assess the situation and begin firefighting operations.
Fire Station Officer Anoop Singh said that crews arrived to find a warehouse filled with electronic items engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked continuously to control the situation and ensure the blaze did not extend to neighboring properties. Their efforts resulted in the fire being brought under control within approximately one hour.
Multiple Fire Tenders Deployed
Authorities confirmed that six fire service vehicles were sent to the affected area to tackle the emergency. Fire personnel carried out coordinated operations to suppress the flames and secure the site.
Officials have not yet released information regarding the extent of damage caused to the warehouse or the value of goods affected by the incident. No immediate reports of injuries or casualties were available at the time of reporting.
Investigation Into Cause Yet to Begin
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown. Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed assessment once the site is declared completely safe for inspection. Fire officials will examine the warehouse and surrounding area to determine what triggered the incident.
Local residents reported seeing thick smoke rising from the area in the early morning hours. Emergency teams remained at the site even after the flames were controlled to monitor for any possibility of reignition.
Recent Fire Incident Reported in Sagarpur
The Shahdara warehouse fire comes just days after another significant fire-related incident in the national capital. Earlier this week, a blaze was reported at the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences building located in Delhi’s Sagarpur area.
Officials stated that the fire occurred on the third floor of the D-Block building near a CNG station on the night of June 17. Fire services received the alert at around 9:25 p.m., following which emergency teams rushed to the location to begin rescue and containment operations.
Challenging Conditions Delayed Operations
A fire department official explained that extinguishing the Sagarpur fire proved more challenging because two connected buildings shared structural elements. Cardboard material lodged between the buildings contributed to the complexity of the operation.
To tackle the situation, the Delhi Fire Service deployed ten fire tenders. Despite the difficult conditions, firefighters succeeded in controlling the blaze within roughly thirty minutes.
Authorities Continue Monitoring Fire Safety
The two incidents have once again highlighted the importance of fire safety measures in commercial and institutional buildings across the city. Authorities continue to stress adherence to safety protocols, particularly in facilities storing electrical equipment and combustible materials.
Further details regarding the Shahdara warehouse fire are awaited as officials continue their assessment of the affected site.
