According to police authorities, the incident took place shortly after midnight when two suspects attempted to throw improvised petrol bombs into the RSS office compound. However, both explosive devices reportedly fell short of the boundary wall, preventing any impact on the premises.

CCTV Footage Provides Key Leads

Investigators have begun examining evidence collected from the scene, including CCTV footage that allegedly captured the movement of two individuals involved in the attack. Ranchi City Superintendent of Police Paras Rana said preliminary findings suggest that two young men carried out the act and efforts are underway to establish their identities.

Police teams, along with experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), have been deployed to gather technical and physical evidence. Authorities believe the footage recovered from nearby cameras could play a crucial role in tracing the suspects.

Improvised Devices Failed to Detonate Effectively

Officials said the first petrol bomb malfunctioned after its burning fuse fell to the ground before the device could reach the target area. A second bottle was then thrown, but it also failed to reach the office structure.

During the initial investigation, police found that sauce bottles had been modified and used as containers for the petrol-filled devices. The improvised nature of the attack is now being examined by forensic experts to determine how the devices were assembled and whether additional individuals may have been involved.

Political Leaders Visit the Site

The incident drew immediate attention from senior BJP leaders and public representatives. Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, along with several BJP legislators and party workers, visited the RSS office to assess the situation and gather details from local authorities.

Leaders expressed concern over the security situation in the state capital and called for a transparent and impartial probe. They urged law enforcement agencies to identify and arrest those responsible without delay.

Opposition Demands Swift Action

Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi described the incident as serious and said the matter had been brought to the notice of district authorities. He stated that strict action should be taken against everyone involved in planning and executing the attack.

Marandi claimed that the suspects arrived in a car and were accompanied by motorcycles, suggesting that the act may have been part of a larger plan. He said discussions had already taken place with senior district officials, including the Deputy Commissioner and the Senior Superintendent of Police, to ensure a thorough investigation.

Calls for Thorough Probe Intensify

Union Minister Sanjay Seth also termed the incident alarming, noting that a successful attack could have endangered people present inside the office. He said he had spoken with senior police officials and stressed the importance of a comprehensive investigation to uncover all aspects of the case.

Police officials have assured that multiple teams are working on the matter and that every available lead is being pursued. Security agencies continue to analyze evidence as efforts intensify to track down those behind the attempted attack.
