Revenue Official Arrested During ACB Operation

According to officials, the ACB unit in Hanumangarh conducted a planned trap operation on Thursday after receiving information regarding alleged bribery involving a Revenue Patwari identified as Shriram. Investigators claimed that the official had sought money from a resident in exchange for processing a mutation entry in revenue records in the name of the complainant’s father.

The complaint stated that a payment of Rs 30,000 had been demanded for completing the required entry. After the allegation reached the ACB, officers discreetly examined the claims and gathered preliminary evidence before moving forward with further action.

Verification Led to Planned Trap

Following verification of the complaint, senior ACB officers approved a trap operation under the supervision of senior police officials. The operation was coordinated by officers from the Hanumangarh unit and executed after authorities confirmed the alleged demand for illegal gratification.

During the operation, the accused was reportedly found accepting Rs 15,000, which investigators said represented part of the total amount allegedly demanded. Officials immediately detained the Patwari and completed procedural formalities at the location.

Investigation Continues Under Corruption Laws

Authorities have registered a case against the accused under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The official is currently being questioned as investigators seek to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case.

Senior officers overseeing the investigation stated that further inquiries are underway to determine whether additional individuals had any role in the matter. The bureau has emphasized that legal proceedings will continue in accordance with established procedures.

Separate Bribery Case Reported in Dholpur

In another anti-corruption action carried out a day earlier, the ACB arrested a Junior Assistant posted at Ratanpur Gram Panchayat in Dholpur district. The employee, identified as Ramesh Kumar, was allegedly caught while accepting Rs 25,000 from a complainant during a trap operation.

Officials said the complaint accused the government employee of demanding money for issuing a muster roll linked to work under the MGNREGA scheme. The complainant further alleged that work-related processes were being delayed and that pressure was being exerted to make the payment before the required documents would be issued.

ACB Appeals for Public Cooperation

The Anti-Corruption Bureau has reiterated its commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency across government offices. Officials have encouraged citizens to report instances of bribery, misuse of authority, or corruption through official channels so that appropriate action can be taken.

The bureau noted that public participation plays a crucial role in identifying corrupt practices and helping enforcement agencies maintain integrity in public administration. Investigations in both cases remain ongoing, and authorities are continuing to collect evidence as part of the legal process.
