Education – Khan Sir Seeks Security After Incident Outside Patna Coaching Centre

Education –  Popular educator Khan Sir on Wednesday urged the Bihar government to provide security following an incident reported outside his coaching institute in Patna’s Musallahpur Haat area. A day after shots were allegedly fired near the premises, he expressed confidence in the state administration and said he trusts the leadership to take appropriate action.

Addressing reporters, Khan Sir stated that the response from law enforcement had strengthened his confidence in the authorities. He said the police acted promptly after the incident and appealed to the government to ensure adequate protection for him, his staff, and students. He also conveyed his trust in Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and praised the administration for its support.

Police Presence Increased After Incident

The educator acknowledged the efforts of senior police officials who supervised security arrangements through the night. According to him, a significant number of police personnel remained stationed near the institute from Tuesday night until Wednesday morning to maintain order and prevent any further disturbance.

Khan Sir noted that the administration had responded quickly and that he was satisfied with the measures taken so far. He thanked officials for ensuring safety in the area while the investigation continued.

Appeal for Peace Among Students

While speaking about the situation, Khan Sir emphasized that his primary objective remains providing education to students from economically weaker backgrounds. He alleged that certain individuals were attempting to disrupt that mission and described the incident as deeply unfortunate.

At the same time, he appealed to students to remain calm and avoid any form of confrontation. He stressed that disagreements should not escalate into violence and urged everyone associated with educational institutions to maintain peace.

The educator also called for strict legal action against those responsible. He claimed that the injured individual had been seriously assaulted and confirmed that a formal police complaint had already been filed. CCTV footage from the area has reportedly been submitted to investigators to assist in identifying those involved.

Students Gather Outside Institute

On Wednesday morning, large numbers of students assembled outside the coaching centre, leading to heightened security arrangements in the surrounding area. Many aspirants were seen waiting outside the institute while expressing concern over the previous night’s events.

Several students raised slogans demanding justice and stronger security measures. The gathering reflected growing anxiety among students who regularly attend classes at the institute and were concerned about safety around the educational facility.

Authorities maintained a strong presence at the location to manage the crowd and ensure that the situation remained under control.

Investigation Continues as Suspects Identified

Police officials said progress has been made in the investigation. According to officers involved in the case, between 10 and 12 individuals have been identified so far based on available evidence.

Officials stated that the people under scrutiny are believed to have links with another coaching institute located across the road. However, investigators clarified that all information is still being verified and that statements from complainants and witnesses are being formally recorded.

Police have also confirmed that video recordings from the area are being carefully examined. Authorities said one injured person is receiving medical treatment and that further action will be determined based on evidence collected during the investigation.

Authorities Examine Evidence

The incident was reported on Tuesday night when shots were allegedly fired outside the coaching centre. During the disturbance, a security guard sustained injuries and was later taken to a hospital for treatment.

Senior police officers, including top district officials, visited the location soon after receiving information about the incident. Investigators have been gathering witness accounts, reviewing surveillance footage, and documenting statements from the injured guard and local residents.

Police officials said the inquiry remains active and that further developments will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
