Education – CBSE Delays Class 12 Re-Evaluation Portal Launch Amid System Upgrades
Education – Students awaiting access to the Central Board of Secondary Education’s post-result services may need to wait a little longer, as the board has postponed the launch of its Class 12 verification and re-evaluation portal due to technical difficulties. Although the platform was expected to become available on June 1, CBSE officials confirmed on Monday that the portal will be activated shortly after necessary system improvements are completed.

Concerns Rise Following Technical Delays
The latest delay has added to the worries of students and parents, many of whom have already experienced difficulties while accessing answer sheets earlier this month. Several users had reported technical disruptions during the answer-book viewing process, leading to concerns about the smooth functioning of the post-result services.
CBSE stated that the temporary postponement is intended to ensure that students receive a reliable and transparent experience when applying for verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer books. According to the board, maintaining accuracy and fairness in the evaluation process remains its top priority.
Board Assures Transparent Evaluation Process
In an official communication, CBSE explained that additional measures are being implemented to uphold evaluation standards before opening the portal for applications. The board emphasized that the revised schedule is aimed at preventing technical interruptions and ensuring that all requests submitted through the post-result activities platform are processed efficiently.
Officials reiterated that the system is being prepared in line with established evaluation protocols to provide students with confidence in the review process.
Helpline and Email Support Available
To assist students during the delay, CBSE has advised candidates and parents to use its support channels for any queries related to result verification or re-evaluation procedures. The board’s tele-counselling helpline remains operational, and students can also reach out through the designated email support service for guidance.
The post-result activities are particularly important for students seeking clarification regarding their awarded marks or requesting a fresh review of evaluated answer sheets.
Cybersecurity Measures Strengthened
Alongside the portal delay, CBSE has also addressed concerns regarding cybersecurity issues connected to the OnMark platform operated by one of its service providers. The board revealed that it has been actively monitoring reported vulnerabilities and has taken steps to strengthen the security framework of the system.
According to CBSE, a team of cybersecurity specialists drawn from multiple government institutions and leading Indian Institutes of Technology has been working continuously over recent days to enhance the platform’s defenses. Their efforts include upgrading system protections and shifting critical components to a more secure environment.
Vulnerabilities Contained, Monitoring Continues
The board reported that the identified security weaknesses have already been addressed and contained. Additional assessments are being conducted to ensure that no further vulnerabilities remain that could be exploited.
CBSE also acknowledged the role played by responsible citizens and ethical cybersecurity researchers who brought potential issues to public attention. The board confirmed that it has interacted directly with some individuals who reported concerns and appreciated their contribution toward improving system security.
Pressure Mounts as Students Await Services
The developments come at a sensitive time for CBSE, which has faced increased scrutiny over reports of technical disruptions in its post-result systems and concerns raised by some students regarding answer-sheet evaluations. As thousands of Class 12 students prepare to apply for verification and re-evaluation services, the board is under pressure to ensure that the upgraded portal operates smoothly once it becomes available.
CBSE has assured stakeholders that all necessary safeguards are being put in place before the portal is opened, with the goal of delivering a secure, transparent, and dependable experience for students across the country.
