Politics – Anand Mohan Questions JD(U) Direction and Nitish Kumar’s Role

Politics –    Former MP Anand Mohan has openly criticized the current functioning of the Janata Dal (United), alleging that the party has moved away from its original political values and is now heavily influenced by money and internal power groups.

Anand mohan jdu nitish role crisis

Speaking on recent political developments in Bihar, Anand Mohan said his family had stood firmly with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during difficult periods and made several sacrifices for the party’s growth. Referring to his own political journey, he stated that he had resigned from the Cabinet following Nitish Kumar’s instructions, believing it was necessary for the larger interests of the party. However, he claimed that despite years of loyalty, he now feels ignored within the organization.

Concerns Over Nitish Kumar’s Position

Anand Mohan also raised questions about Nitish Kumar’s current standing inside the JD(U). According to him, the Chief Minister, who once played a central role in shaping the party, no longer appears to have the same visibility or influence.

He pointed to recent political events and public campaigns, claiming that Nitish Kumar’s presence has gradually reduced in official publicity material. He remarked that even during important ceremonies attended by several legislators, the Chief Minister’s image was missing from promotional displays, which he described as unusual for a leader who built the party’s foundation.

Questions on Party Posters and Leadership Visibility

Continuing his criticism, Anand Mohan referred to political banners and posters displayed across Bihar. He said earlier campaign material prominently featured Nitish Kumar alongside senior leaders and deputy chief ministers, but many current posters do not include several long-standing JD(U) faces.

He specifically questioned why experienced leaders who continue to support the party leadership are no longer visible in public outreach campaigns. According to him, this reflects a larger issue within the organization regarding internal decision-making and political messaging.

Sharp Remarks Against Close Advisors

While distancing the Bharatiya Janata Party from the controversy, Anand Mohan directed most of his criticism toward people surrounding Nitish Kumar. He accused a section of close advisors of isolating the Chief Minister from party workers and public interaction.

In strongly worded comments, he alleged that these individuals have weakened Nitish Kumar’s political image by controlling access and limiting his visibility. He questioned why those close to the Chief Minister have not addressed concerns regarding his reduced public presence in party campaigns.

Allegations of Money Influence in Politics

Anand Mohan also linked his criticism to broader concerns about political culture inside the JD(U). Referring to the absence of his son Chetan Anand from the Cabinet, he alleged that political influence within the party is increasingly determined by financial strength rather than loyalty or public support.

According to him, individuals with economic influence are receiving greater importance in government formation and organizational decisions. He claimed this trend is creating dissatisfaction among dedicated workers and long-time supporters.

Concerns Over Social and Political Sentiment

During his remarks, Anand Mohan additionally spoke about changing social conditions in Bihar. He claimed that several backward communities, which had experienced stronger political participation over the last two decades, are now feeling disappointed with the current environment.

He suggested that growing frustration among sections of society could have political consequences in the future if leadership concerns remain unresolved.

NDA Alliance Also Facing Impact, Claims Anand Mohan

The former MP further argued that the internal issues within JD(U) are not only weakening the party but could also affect the broader National Democratic Alliance in Bihar. He mentioned recent political developments, including the MLC elections in the Bhojpur–Buxar region, claiming that voters have started expressing dissatisfaction with existing political trends.

Anand Mohan also criticized certain senior figures inside the party, accusing them of damaging the organization from within. He alleged that loyal party members are not receiving proper respect despite years of contribution.

His comments have added fresh attention to internal political discussions within Bihar’s ruling alliance at a time when regional political equations continue to evolve ahead of future elections.
